Buttons and ports on a computer 

ကျွန်တော်တို့ computer case တစ်ခုရဲ့ အရှေ့နဲ့အနောက်မှာ ရှိတဲ့ buttons တွေ ports တွေ slots တွေကို ရေတွက်ကြည့်လိုက်ပါ။ ပြီးရင် monitor ကိုလည်း buttons ဘယ်နှခုပါလဲဆိုတာ လိုက်ကြည့်လိုက်ပါ။ အနည်းဆုံး ၁၀ခုထက်မက တွေ့နိုင်ပါတယ်။ computer တစ်လုံးစီမှာ ပါရှိတဲ့ buttons, ports နဲ့ sockets တွေဟာမတူကြပါဘူး။ သို့ပေမယ့် ကျွန်တော်တို့ကွန်ပျူတာကို printer, mouse and keyboard အစရှိတဲ့ devices တွေနဲ့ ချိတ်ဆက်ပြီးသုံးမယ်ဆိုရင် ဒီ ports တွေ buttons တွေက ဘယ်လိုကူညီပေးလဲဆိုတာကို လေ့လာထားမို့ လိုအပ်သလိုအကျိုးလည်းအများကြီးရှိပါတယ်။

ကဲ၊ စတင်ကြည့်ရအောင်။

Front of a computer case :

ဒါကို Front panel လို့လည်းခေါ်ကြပါတယ်။  သူ့မှာအများအားဖြင့် optical drives, power buttons, audio ports နဲ့ USB ports တွေရှိပါတယ်။

• Optical drive ဆိုတာက ကျွန်တော်တို့အသိများတဲ့ CD, DVD ROM drive တွေပေါ့။ သူက CD, DVDs ချပ်တွေကို computer က ဖတ်နိုင်အောင်လုပ်ပေးတာပါ။
• ပြီးရင် computer တစ်လုံးကိုအဖွင့်အပိတ်လုပ်မို့အတွက် on/off power buttons ​တွေရှိပါတယ်။
• Audio In/Out ports တွေကတော့ ကျွန်တော်တို့ headsets တွေ microphones တွေ speakers တွေကို computer နဲ့ အလွယ်တကူ ချိတ်ဆက်အသုံးပြုလို့ရအောင် သုံးတာပါ။ ကွန်ပျူတာအများစုမှာ ဒီ port တွေကို ရှေ့ဘက်မှာ ထားလေ့ရှိပြီး အသုံးပြုရတာ လွယ်ကူပါတယ်။
•  နောက်ဆုံးတစ်ခုကတော့ universal serial bus လို့ခေါ်တဲ့ USB port ပါ။ ဒါက computer တစ်လုံးမှာ အများဆုံးတွေ့ရတဲ့ port  ပါ။ ကျွန်တော်တို့ computer ကို တခြား devices တွေနဲ့ connect လုပ်တဲ့ နေရာမျိုးမှာသုံးပါတယ်။

Back of a computer case :

သူ့ကိုတော့ Back panel လို့အခေါ်များပါတယ်။ Casing အများစုမှာ back panel ကို IO shield နဲ့ကာထားကြပါတယ်။ သူ့မှာတော့ သက်ဆိုင်ရာ devices တွေကို ချိတ်ဆတ်အသုံးပြုလို့ရတဲ့ connection ports တွေ special connectors တွေ color-coded ports တွေလိုမျိုးပါရှိပါတယ်။တစ်ချို့ casing တွေက back panel မှာလည်း Audio In/Out ports တွေရှိပါတယ်။

• Monitor ports  ကျွန်တော်တို့ computer screen ကြီးအလုပ်လုပ်မို့ဆိုရင် monitor cable ကို display port နဲ့ချိတ်ဆက်ပေးရမှာပါ။ computer တစ်လုံးနဲ့တစ်လုံးမှာ ပါရှိတဲ့ display ports တွေကတော့ VGA, DVI, HDMI စသဖြင့် အမျိုးမျိုးဖြစ်နိုင်ပါတယ်။
• Back panel မှာလည်း USB ports တွေရှိပါတယ်။ သူတို့ကိုတော့ mouse နဲ့ keyboards တွေအတွက်သုံးပြီး Front panel မှာရှိတဲ့ USB ports တွေကိုတော့ speakers နဲ့ mice တွေသုံးလို့လွယ်အောင်လုပ်ထားပေးတာပါ။
• Ethernet port သူကတော့ ကြည့်ရင် modem နဲ့ telephone ကြိုးလိုခပ်ဆင်ဆင်လေးတူပါတယ်။ သူ့ port ကတော့နည်းနည်းပိုကြီးပါတယ်။ အဓိက သူ့ကို network နဲ့ internet ကိုချိတ်ဆက်တဲ့နေရာမှာ သုံးပါတယ်။
• PS/2 ဒါလေးကို casing မှာ pin ခြောက်ချောင်းပါတဲ့ ခရမ်းရောင်နဲ့ အစိမ်းရောင် port ပုံစံမျိုးတွေ့ရပါတယ်။ Older computers တွေမှာ mouse နဲ့ Keyboard အတွက်သုံးကြပါတယ်။ အခုခေတ်မှာတော့ အာ့​​နေရာ အတွက် USB ports တွေကိုပဲအစားထိုးသုံးလာကြပါတယ်။
• Serial port သူ့ကိုတော့ digital cameras တွေလိုမျိုး တခြား peripherals devices တွေနဲ့ချိတ်ပြီးသုံးပါတယ်။ အခုနောက်ပိုင်းမှာ USB ကိုပဲအစားထိုးသုံးလာတာများလို့ computer တွေမှာ သိပ်မပါတတ်တော့ပါဘူး။
• Expansion slot ကျွန်တော်တို့ computer မှာ onboard vedio card တို့ ethernet card တို့မပါလာတာမျိုး ဒါမှမဟုတ် graphic card ထပ်စိုက်ချင်တာမျိုးဆိုရင် expansion slot ကနေ ထည့်ပြီးသုံးလို့ရပါတယ်။ အများအားဖြင့် slot အလွတ်လေးတွေလိုမျိုးတွေ့ရတတ်ပါတယ်။
• Power cord သူကတော့ power cable မှာပါတဲ့ ငုတ်သုံးခုနဲ့ adapter ခေါင်းကိုထိုးလို့ရတဲ့ အပေါက်လေးပါ။ အဓိက computer ကို power ပေးမို့အတွက်သုံးတာပါ။

ဒါတွေကတော့ အခြေခံအနေနဲ့သိထားသင့်တဲ့ ports လေးတွေပါ။ Firewire, Thunderbolt တို့လိုမျိုး တခြား connectors တွေ ports တွေလည်းအများကြီးရှိပါသေးတယ်။ ဒါ့အ​​​ပြင် ကျွန်တော်တို့ computer တစ်လုံးကို တခြားအပိုပစ္စည်းတွေဖြစ်တဲ့ webcam တွေ scanner တွေ game controller တွေ joy stick တွေ စတာတွေနဲ့လည်း ချိတ်ဆက်ပြီး အသုံးပြုလို့ရပါတယ်.....
